• As a Notary, I understand the Notarial laws concerning my state, am NNA certified, and receive continuous training through the NNA to remain current on notarial standards. I am also Loan Signing System (LSS) certified and receive continuous training through LSS and Notary Stars.
• As an NSA, I understand I am the neutral 3rd party. My job is to identify the signer, ensure willingness to sign, witness the signer sign all documents, and properly notarize certain documents at the signing.
• My goal is to create a great working relationship with the Signing Services or Escrow/Title companies I partner with. As such, I make sure to review the various notarial instructions provided to ensure a successful signing. I contact the company to answer any relevant questions relating to the documents, if necessary. I avoid errors as much as possible. However, if an error is made, I will correct it immediately.
• Regular contact is maintained with the Signing Service or Title/Escrow company to notify of signing arrival and departure times. Scanbacks are provided as requested and are returned asap. Signed documents are dropped with the shipping carrier (UPS, FedEx) same day if signing occurs before 4pm.
• Proper Office Equipment is a must. I possess two (2) multifunction dual tray laser printer with the ability to print and scan both letter and legal documents. Signing documents are not printed double-sided. Two sets of single-sided documents are printed: One to sign, and the other to remain with the signer for their records. Supplies are constantly ordered (specifically, copy paper and toner) to avoid work disruptions.
• My daily schedule is organized, and I am careful not to stack assignments too close together. I typically arrive on time and would advise the signer if I will be late.
• During the signing, I provide brief descriptions of the documents abstaining from the unauthorized practice of law. Signers are not pressured to sign or rushed through the signing. I move at their pace.
